International Logistics

Our international logistics team will put together a program to enhance your operational efficiency and lower costs. This includes utilizing our overseas consolidation centers to mix categories of products so you can take advantage of container purchase economics without the excessive inventory gain. Advance inventory manufacturing can also be utilized to reduce the lead time from PO to delivery. We will help you evaluate your product movements from acquisition costs through final delivery to ensure you are making the best purchase decisions considering all factors in the supply chain. Global Logistics has a program for your business!  

 
 
 

International Freight

We utilize a network of Ocean Carrier and NVOCC (Freight Forwarder) contracts to make certain you benefit from the low-cost option during any freight market cycle that occurs throughout the year. A business must be protected when space is tight and the spot market is rising; however, to maximize the success that same business must also have the ability to take advantage of the spot market when ocean freight prices are dropping. Global Logistics has the benefit of a significant existing portfolio of business; coupled with exponential growth within our key customer’s accounts, this allows us to be aggressive with both carriers and NVO’s throughout the year as the market moves. Don’t get caught with a singular strategy, working with Global Logistics allows you the freedom to be below the market in your ocean freight costs while also receiving superior customer service with full transparency.

 
 
 

Domestic Freight

Global Logistics utilizes every available port in the United States and Canada to minimize the rail and dray portion of the movement. We have contracts with national trucking companies and truck brokers, as well as local carrier relationships, to ensure we can provide a competitive domestic trucking option in every case. We’ve demonstrated the ability to get cargo out of congested ports when others struggle. We have a significant “small package program” with UPS and can provide competitive sampling programs as needed for your business. Whether you have a container to move, truckload, partial truckload, LTL, or loose cases, we can provide a low cost option to meet your needs.   

 
 

Warehousing

Global Logistics utilizes a network of three warehouses to service our customer’s business.  Two of these are on the east (Chesapeake, VA) and west (Northern California) coasts, respectively. The third is conveniently located in the center of the country (St. Louis, MO).  The coastal facilities are third-party facilities utilized for recurring business with reasonable inventory turns. The St. Louis facility is 210,000 sq. ft. of very inexpensive non-traditional warehouse space. Need to have some “back-up” inventory positioned in the USA, or do you have that piece of business with very slow inventory turns? Our St. Louis facility provides a very low cost option to serve these needs. We also do our sampling services, light assembly, and small package deliveries out of this facility.
